Trek

This past week me and Zachary got the opportunity to go on the YW/YM pioneer trek. We were the trail guides, which meant we got to be horse back. I did not know how to ride a horse before this, but now, I think I'm pretty good!! The weather was nice while we were there. The only bad part was not being able to take a shower for four days! I had a great time and I'm really glad that I was able to experience this. I'm thank that Zachary was there with me and that he was patient with me while I learned how to ride a horse. I'm thankful for our pioneer ancestors

Chip

Zachary bought the girls a puppy. We named it Chip (after the tea cup on Beauty & the Beast). The girls love him. They have done a good job feeding and watering him everyday. Chip is a fun addition to our family! Chip is the brown & white dog in the middle. This picture was taken at the pet shop before we took him home.

Medieval Times

This past weekend we went to Medieval Times up in Dallas to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. Audrey was fascinated by the show; she wouldn't take her eyes off it. Elena like our knight, which was the blue knight. She wanted to get her picture taken with him. We had a good evening. The girls posing with the Blue Knight!

Happy 31st Birthday!

Zachary turned 31 on Monday. We all went to Denny's for breakfast and then we had a nice family birthday party at home.

Derrick Days

Derrick Days is a big festival in Downtown Corsicana. It is held every year the last weekend of April. We entered the parade with our Zachary Herrin for school board float. I hope that will help his chances. (If you are reading this and you live in the CISD limits, please go vote. Every vote counts.) The girls had a lot of fun and they kept yelling out "Vote for my daddy." We had fun after the parade walking around and seeing all the old time cars and friendly faces.

We hung out at the park on Saturday for almost 2 hours. The kids had a blast!

Easter 2010

We had a great Easter weekend. The girls got to hunt eggs 3 times: at the church, at Grandma's house, and at Grammy's house. Plus the Easter Bunny came to our house and brought the girls a ton a candy. The holidays are so fun when you have little ones to share it with!

The pink shoes in the middle aren't mine, but they are Zachary's. (Those defiantly are not my legs. My legs aren't that hairy!) Yes, my husband has a pair of hot pink shoes. He is just very secure in his manhood.

Easter Bunny Downtown

The Easter Bunny was downtown today. The girls were scared to death and would not let me take a pictured of them with the Easter Bunny. So I took a picture of the Bunny and a picture of the girls. Maybe someone can photo shop the picture for me!!

Spring is Finally Here!!

Spring is in the air and we have been enjoying it! I love that our house sits on 15 acres so we have plenty of room to go outside and play. The girls enjoy being outside and they enjoy helping us in and around the house. Elena and Audrey are so full of life that you can't help but smile when you are around them!

Called to Serve

Last Sunday Zachary got called to be the Branch President of our branch. Crazy huh?! He's got two great men to serve as his counselors. I can't believe I am a branch president's wife, I'm only 29!!

Last night all of the "Herrin's" went to The Magic Time Machine to celebrate my in-law's 35th wedding anniversary. We sat in the Charlie Brown section, which Elena thought was way cool. Audrey was fascinated with the waitress dressed up as Belle. We all had a really good time.
