Audrey turns 2

Audrey had her 2nd birthday two days after Christmas. She had a nice family party at our house. She wanted a Mickey Mouse birthday. The kids had fun trying to break open the pinata. I can't believe my baby is 2!

Christmas Day

After a hard day of playing and candy, the girls sure were tired!!!

We had a great Christmas. We spent the morning at home. Santa was very nice to the girls. Elena got her pink Musketeer Barbie & Audrey got her backpack. The girls also got a kitchen set. After a lazy afternoon we went over to my in-law's for dinner and more fun! We were really blessed this Christmas.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve up at Mom and Dad's. Both of my brothers & their families were there. We had a good evening spent with family. It even snowed. Elena was so excited to see the snow. It was pretty to look at, but it took us 2 1/2 hours to get home because the roads where so bad.

Christmas cookies

I took the day off of work yesterday so we could make cookies for Santa. We made them from scratch. The girls helped, but I did most of the work. When Zachary got home from work, we iced the cookies. Yes, Zachary is wearing a pink shirt and an apron in the pictures. And yes, he is secure in his manhood!! I am thankful that my husband will do 'girly' things with his daughters. He is a great husband and father.

Christmas gifts??

Last night me and the girls were wrapping Christmas gifts. The girls thought it would funny if I wrapped them, so I did! Don't worry, I did cut holes out for their eyes and mouths. We laughed so hard. And I finished wrapping them right before Zachary got home from work, so he got to open two sweet gifts!! I'm so thankful for my sweet little girls and all of the fun we have together!

The Princess and the Frog

Last night we went to the movies to see The Princess and the Frog. The girls wanted to dress up in their princess dresses to go the movie. Elena told me that her and Audrey were the Princess's and Zachary was the frog! I guess that makes me the crazy voodoo lady!! The movie was actually really cute! I liked it, and so did the girls (even though Audrey fell asleep and missed the ending). It was a fun evening spent as a family!

Santa

Last week Santa visited one of the neighborhoods in town. We went as a family to visit him.

Santa

Santa visited the Y staff Christmas party. Audrey was still a little bit scared of him.

Here Kitty Kitty

This cat showed up at our house last night. The girls were so excited. They have been wanting a cat for months. Elena named it Cheeto (even though he is not orange). He is a sweet kitty and loves to run into the house, which makes Audrey scream. Hopefully Cheeto will stick around and make a nice family pet.

Downtown Christmas Parade

Saturday night was the Christmas parade downtown. My parents came down to see the parade with the girls. We also went with the Herrins, Lairds, Wilkes, & Suda's . It was really cold outside, but we all had a lot of fun.

Here comes Santa Claus

Last Saturday we went to the Breakfast with Santa primary activity at church. This was the first year that Elena did not cry when she saw Santa. Elena wants a 3 Musketeer Barbie for Christmas and she knew she had to asked Santa or else she would not get it. Audrey was a little hesitant to sit on his lap, but after he gave her a bag full of candy she calmed down and asked him for a backpack. The girls had a lot of fun at the activity. (I don't know where Santa's hat is.)

Jingle Bell Jog this Saturday!

O Christmas Tree

We decorated the Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. The girls had a lot of fun. We have had a lot of fun in our home this Christmas season thanks to my sweet little girls. Having children really does make this time of year magical.

Cowgirl??

Zachary & I have been asked to go on the stake pioneer trek this summer. We are going to be trail guides, which means we will be horse back, which means I have to learn to ride a horse. We went and bought a horse this past weekend. I took my first riding lesson. The girls love the horses. The sad thing was that I was more scared to get up on the horse than the girls. Learning to ride will be an experience, but I'm looking forward to this being a fun family activity.

Thanksgiving

The girls playing outside at Grandma's house.

Great Grandparents with the kids.

Us with the grandparents.

The girls put up their little pink tree.

We ate lunch at my mom's house and dinner at Zachary's mom's house. Needless to say, we ate way too much! We did have a great Thanksgiving and were blessed to be able to spend the day with most of our family. (Mary & Becky - you were missed!)

A Fun Evening

This past weekend, Zachary's cousin got married. These pictures were all taken at the reception.

Audrey & Casie

All of the little cousins had a great time playing together.

This picture here pretty much sums up Audrey's personality.
